 Stan Lewis is a professional musician/composer from Los Angeles, CA Stan was born in 1979 on an Army Base in Ford Ord CA. Even at the young age of 2 years old Stan's parents knew that he would be a great musician. As a toddler he would take all of the pots and pans and bang on them to record albums being echoed through the house. His musical journey began at his grandparents church inCompton , CA where he played drums for their Sunday morning worship services. His parents musicians themselves although, not professional their love for good music greatly influenced Stan and aided him in his musical journey. Although he started on drums at the age of 2 years old he would late pick up the piano at 5 years old. Stanley which Stan's father being a fluent pianist influenced him greatly. He began playing piano by ear and B3 Hammond Organ. This was just a stepping stone for Stan that by the time he would turn14 years old he received the opportunity to play "Amazing Grace" for the late Natalie Cole. This would later open the door for many more Gospel artist. Like Daryl Coley, The Hawkins, Karen Clark, Donnie McClurklin, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell and more. Always pursuing greatness Stan having hopes to further his music education enrolled in Musician Institute in Hollywood, CA with a desire to graduate with a BA in Music Composition. When one day he prayed and asked God to please allow him to see the world. The very next day his school endeavor would be cut short as he received his first call for a world tour. At age 18 he began to tour all over the world with then R&B sensation Deborah Cox. This tour open a whole  window of opportunity. Stan believes that after all of his success and failures he is indebted and thankful to God and his parents for all the blessings that he has experienced during his career. 

 

Stan began touring the world with American artists such as Montell Jordan, Tamia, Deborah Cox, Darius Rucker, Kelly Price, Mary J Blige, Angie Stone, Catherine McPhee, Fantasia, Kendrick Lamar, Patti Labelle and many more. Stan Lewis as a composer composed songs for televised networks such as BET’s "Soul Sessions," "Judge Judy." He has worked as a composer on a featured BET film titled, "Church The Movie." This movie birth an appetite for film composition.

 

Stan has become a passionate soulful pianist/keyboardist he composes every time he sits down at the piano. He wanted to blend Jazz, Gospel, Classical and Soul into one sound. His special interest in orchestra composition gave him that unique sound as a pianist. His favorite pianist are Oscar Petterson, Art Tatum, Chic Corea, Russell Ferrante, Herbie Hancock, Chopin, Mozart, and Claire Fischer.

 

His debut "Christmas Want You Wait for Me" which will be available late December 2020. Stan Lewis, is not only an accomplished pianist but a singer songwriter, arranger, bassist, guitarist, and drummer who is just scratching the surface on his compositional contributions. Stan is also a programmer and video editor. Also to his credit Stan has been a  Yamaha Digital Keyboard Artist for 13 years. His favorite gear includes a Yamaha Montage 8, YC 61, CP Reface, and the CS Reface. A signed Native Instruments Artist, and Heil mics endorsee.

 

 One of Stan's most rememberable moments of his career came when he toured several cities of Australia and South America the worlds most prolific rap artists Kendrick Lamar. Stan in his words, "This was a great opportunity and experience to play for arguably the hottest rap artist in the world. Playing some of the best music also aids in ones ability to compose, experience is a great teacher!"

 

Stan continues to stay dedicated to his craft and hopes to leave a legacy for his children's children's. He is a man of integrity, honest, and a dedicated family man who loves his wife and children.  

Stan wanting to accomplish his goal to become a better composer enrolled into Berklee College of music where he maintained a 3.6 grade point average being listed on the Dean's list 5 times. Stan is still thriving to become the best he can. Stan Lewis is a devoted father and husband a family man who doesn't let the road or success change. His late mother told him, "Always be humble and God will bless you!"
